VENUE: Oysterhaven Outdoor Center (near Kinsale)

LOCATION: The Oysterhaven Centre, Oysterhaven, Kinsale, Co. Cork
TIME: 10am to 4pm
ACTIVITIES: Kayaking/Watersports/Rafting/Adventure/Course/Jungle Quest/Orienteering plus many more.
COST: €20 per student (The college is paying the remainder of the €45 cost).

A bus will be organised to bring you from the college at approx 9:00am to Oysterhaven and back again at 4:00pm to the college in the evening. The bus will be across from the College in Union Quay at 9.00am.

The €20 must be paid in advance to secure your place. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Bring the money by Friday 30th September to Dónal Linehan in Room 119 to secure your place..
All gear will be provided by the centre (wetsuits/life jackets etc ).

Students must bring : Swimming togs and towel, change of clothes, old tracksuit/clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, old shoes/sneakers. A plastic bag to bring home wet gear. Also bring a packed lunch.

A full day of action and fun as students experience a range of both water sports activities and land based team challenges focussed on personal development and working together as a team.
Students receive tuition in single and double kayaks as paddling skills are developed, enjoy a game of fast and furious kayak polo and take on our ‘moonwalk’.  Our inflatable rafts demand co-operation and leadership as the teams co-ordinate their strokes to spin and race their rafts around the bay.

Students also enjoy the infamous Jungle Quest where they negotiate rope bridges, crocodile crossings and scramble net as together they negotiate the challenges of water and mud in an atmosphere of laughter and teamwork.  Students will have to pay half the cost of this course.
